About Me

Hello, I’m Tommy Dinkeldorf. I love working around the home and it has taught me a lot over the years. When I was younger, I worked as a surveyor and eventually ran the instrument, and then had my own crew. Some of my favorite jobs as a surveyor were construction work and when we had a mountain job. For a long time, we worked on establishing a buffer zone along the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. It was satisfying work.

Eventually, I started my own business and worked for many years as a handyman at a large apartment complex in Frederick, Maryland. It took everything I knew about working around the home and took it to the next level. Suddenly, I was working 40 or 50 hours per week fixing appliances, swapping out sinks and toilets, and doing everything from electrical to pressure washing and lawn maintenance. I also had a side-job, painting cars with a mobile unit.

I’ve also enjoyed working around the home with my two sons and teaching them a little of what I know as well.

Somewhere in there, I also started an internet business and began blogging. It has given me the chance to share what I know with you and many others. I hope that you learn from my experience and come to love working on your home as well.

All the best,
Tommy DinkeldorfÂ
